Class Abilities
Improved Reaction [Ex]: Spider warriors gain a +2 bonus to initiative checks at level 3, which rises to +4 at 8th level. This stacks with Improved Initiative.
Discern Lies [Sp; 3/day]: From 6th level, a spider warrior can use discern lies, as the spell, three times per day.
Fang Strike [Ex]: A spider warrior can make an uncanny melee attack that disorients foes as much as it damages them. A spider warrior who makes a melee full attack can add his Charisma bonus to his damage on one attack. He may wait until after making his attack rolls for each attack before deciding which one to add his Charisma bonus to. If he successfully hits the target then, for the next round, the spider warrior gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC against that opponent, provided it was not mindless or a spider or spider-like creature (but such an opponent still takes the extra damage).
A spider warrior who uses this or any of his other fang strike abilities cannot take a 5ft step as well as his full attack. He cannot make a fang strike while wearing heavy armour or using a tower shield.
Two-point Fang Strike [Ex]: From 4th level, the spider warrior can make a fang strike with up to two of his melee attacks. In addition, his fang strikes gain +1d8 damage each. If he uses both strikes on one opponent, he still only gains +1 dodge bonus.
Four-point Fang Strike [Ex]: From 7th level, the spider warrior can make a fang strike with up to four attacks in his full attack. The bonus damage dice on his fang strikes rises to +2d8. His dodge bonus against struck opponents rises to +2.
Eight-point Fang Strike [Ex]: At 10th level, the spider warrior can make a fang strike with up to eight attacks in his full attack. The bonus damage dice on his fang strikes rises to +3d8. If he successfully hits with two or more of his fang strikes on a single opponent in his full attack, and if the opponent was eligible for him to receive the dodge bonus in the next round, he can instead choose to make the creature be stunned in that round (in which case he does not get the dodge AC bonus).
Cast Web [Su; 1/day]: From 5th level, the spider warrior can magically produce webs from his fingertips by weaving his hands back and forth. This is a full-round action that provokes an attack of opportunity. Make a Craft(weaving) check to determine the quality of the web. Once he has created the web, he can lay it on the ground (a standard action) or throw it, in which case it works like an attack with a net; although the "net" has no trailing rope, a maximum range of 30ft, and a range increment of 10ft. The Escape Artist DC for his web is equal to his Craft(weaving) check, the Concentration DC for casting a spell in it is this check minus 4, and the burst DC is equal to his check plus 4; see also the table below which adjusts both DCs by an amount depending on his size category. The total size and hit points of the web also depend on his size.
| Warrior Size | Web Size | Total Web HP | DC Adjustment | Improved Web HP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tiny | 2.5ft | 2 | -2 | 4 |
| Small | 2.5ft | 4 | -2 | 6 |
| Medium | 5ft | 6 | +0 | 8 |
| Large | 10ft | 12 | +2 | 16 |
| Huge | 10ft | 14 | +4 | 18 |
| Gargantuan | 15ft | 16 | +8 | 22 |
| Colossal | 20ft | 18 | +16 | 26 |
Improved Cast Web [Su; 3/day]: From 9th level, the spider warrior can use his cast web ability three times per day. In addition, his webs cause 1d6 holy damage per round to evil creatures which are trapped in them, unless the creature remains completely still. His webs now have more hit points (see the Improved Web HP column in the table above).
Important Notes
A spider warrior who becomes Evil and/or ceases to revere Marduk loses his ability to discern lies and cast webs, and cannot raise his spider warrior level. He regains these abilities and advancement potential if he atones.
